Inspired Bicycles - Danny MacAskill April 2009
give it a minute to get really cranking!
Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill (more info at www.dannymacaskill.com) features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There's some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.
Credit to Band of Horses for their epic song 'The Funeral.'

Yow's Pool Trickshot Madness
some fantastic pool trick shots, I'm a terrible pool player, my friends often beat me playing left handed!!!
song: Chop Suey by System of A Down.
lyrics:
Wake up
(wake up)
Grab a brush and put on a little make up
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
(hide the scars to fade away the shakeup)
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
There you go create another fable
You wanted to
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup
You wanted to
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
You wanted to
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
I dont think you trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die (die)
Wake up
(wake up)
Grab a brush and put on a little make up
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
(hide the scars to fade away the shakeup)
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
There you go create another fable
You wanted to
Grab a brush and put on a little makeup
You wanted to
Hide the scars to fade away the shakeup
You wanted to
Whyd you leave the keys up on the table
I dont think you trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
Father father father father
Father into your hand I comend my spirit
Father into your hand why have you forsaken me in your eyes
Forsaken me in your thoughts
Forsaken me in your heart
Forsaken me ohh
Trust in my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die
In my self righteous suicide
I cry when angels deserve to die

Honda meets Rube Goldberg.
The best car commercial ever made. One continuous shot of a Rube Goldberg machine made entirely of car parts.
I remember seeing on Gruen Transfer that this took a few 100 takes, I can't remember which episode it was, but it was very interesting.

You see we work hard play hard
man I gotta stay charged
can't sleep, tired out
trouble on my radar
runnin' 'round live wire
had anotha red bull
everybody's burnin' baby
let me come and get a pull
isn't it incredible
that i'm even still awake
still alive still I take poison that debilitates
f**k a little line we can go ahead and kill a K
livin' in the killer's state
maybe that's a good excuse!
see me taking shots at the bar like i'm bulletproof
now my belly full of juice
i'm walking every day with a
bruised lip, battered eye, beat up stained liver
ah-uh ah-uh I'm reaching in my cupboard for a painkiller

you thought you could take it out
but the world collapse and you can't see out of it now
you go crazy baby
now we live fast die young
wish i never tried none
saturated chemical
but i don't wanna die mum
maybe you could try some
no point wasting it
first it was a little bit
but now i got my face in it
run around chasin' it
everything is so hot
everybody's screw faced
looking like so raw
pressure and it won't stop
pushing up my heart rate
arguments and attitude
mate you don't wanna start me
listen man i can't wait
now i got a closed fist
woke up shivering and swimming in my own piss
it's just my own risk
a real brain splitta
ah-uh ah-uh I'm reaching in my cupboard for a painkiller
uh uh uh I need another painkiller
uh reaching in my cupboard for a painkiller
uh uh uh I need another painkiller
they call it painkiller lets it go painkiller

The Umbilical Brothers on The Jay Leno Show and Late Show with David Letterman.
I've seen the umbilical brothers a few times live, when I was living in Australia during the 90's, they were just as professional and pollished infront of a live audience at a pub as they are on TV. Simply brilliant physical and vocal comedy!

Phone Salesman Amazes Crowd, Britain's Got Talent
This is a terrific story from the show Britain's Got Talent. The audience has little expectation for this cell phone salesman, Paul Potts, until he brings them to their feet with an amazing performance of an extremely difficult opera song - Puccinis Nessun Dorma. Within two minutes, Paul shows more emotion than all the contestants combined. I'm not into opera but even I had to watch this video a number of times.
Biography: Paul Potts was raised in Fishponds, Bristol, by his father Roland, a bus driver, and mother, Yvonne, a supermarket cashier. Paul has two brothers and one sister, and attended St. Mary Redcliffe school where he first developed his love of singing.
In the interview that was broadcast before his performance in the semi-final, Paul stated that he had trouble with being bullied in school, and that it may have had an influence on his lack of self-confidence.
Until June 19, 2007 Potts worked as a manager at the Bridgend Carphone Warehouse, a mobile phone store around 8 miles from his home town.
On June 9, 2007, Potts' audition of Simon Cowell's new search-for-a-star show Britain's Got Talent was televised on ITV in UK. The actual audition was held at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff on March 17, 2007. Paul sang a condensed version of Giacomo Puccini's "Nessun dorma", which impressed the judges and received a standing ovation from the audience of 2,000 people.
In the semi-final on June 14, 2007, Potts performed main verses of "Con te partirĂ²" with praise from the audience and judges.

Baby Got Back, first wedding dance, Sir Mix-A-Lot
Ah Sir Mix-A-Lot, my friend, a huge fan of Sir Mix-A-Lot had a walking fish called Sir Maxolotl
"Baby Got Back"
[Intro]
Oh, my, god. Becky, look at her butt.
It is so big. *scoff* She looks like,
one of those rap guys' girlfriends.
But, you know, who understands those rap guys? *scoff*
They only talk to her, because,
she looks like a total prostitute, 'kay?
I mean, her butt, is just so big.
I can't believe it's just so round, it's like,
out there, I mean - gross. Look!
She's just so ... black!
[Sir Mix-a-Lot]
I like big butts and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist
And a round thing in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
'Cause you notice that butt was stuffed
Deep in the jeans she's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh baby, I wanna get with you
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But that butt you got makes me so horny
Ooh, Rump-o'-smooth-skin
You say you wanna get in my Benz?
Well, use me, use me
'Cause you ain't that average groupie
I've seen them dancin'
To hell with romancin'
She's sweat, wet,
Got it goin' like a turbo 'Vette
I'm tired of magazines
Sayin' flat butts are the thing
Take the average black man and ask him that
She gotta pack much back
So, fellas! (Yeah!) Fellas! (Yeah!)
Has your girlfriend got the butt? (Hell yeah!)
Tell 'em to shake it! (Shake it!) Shake it! (Shake it!)
Shake that healthy butt!
Baby got back!
(LA face with Oakland booty)
Baby got back!
[Sir Mix-a-Lot]
I like 'em round, and big
And when I'm throwin' a gig
I just can't help myself, I'm actin' like an animal
Now here's my scandal
I wanna get you home
And ugh, double-up, ugh, ugh
I ain't talkin' bout Playboy
'Cause silicone parts are made for toys
I want 'em real thick and juicy
So find that juicy double
Mix-a-Lot's in trouble
Beggin' for a piece of that bubble
So I'm lookin' at rock videos
Knock-kneeded bimbos walkin' like hoes
You can have them bimbos
I'll keep my women like Flo Jo
A word to the thick soul sisters, I wanna get with ya
I won't cuss or hit ya
But I gotta be straight when I say I wanna *fuck*
Till the break of dawn
Baby got it goin' on
A lot of simps won't like this song
'Cause them punks like to hit it and quit it
And I'd rather stay and play
'Cause I'm long, and I'm strong
And I'm down to get the friction on
So, ladies! {Yeah!} Ladies! {Yeah}
If you wanna roll in my Mercedes {Yeah!}
Then turn around! Stick it out!
Even white boys got to shout
Baby got back!
Baby got back!
Yeah, baby ... when it comes to females, Cosmo ain't got nothin'
to do with my selection. 36-24-36? Ha ha, only if she's 5'3".
[Sir Mix-a-Lot]
So your girlfriend rolls a Honda, playin' workout tapes by Fonda
But Fonda ain't got a motor in the back of her Honda
My anaconda don't want none
Unless you've got buns, hun
You can do side bends or sit-ups,
But please don't lose that butt
Some brothers wanna play that "hard" role
And tell you that the butt ain't gold
So they toss it and leave it
And I pull up quick to retrieve it
So Cosmo says you're fat
Well I ain't down with that!
'Cause your waist is small and your curves are kickin'
And I'm thinkin' bout stickin'
To the beanpole dames in the magazines:
You ain't it, Miss Thing!
Give me a sister, I can't resist her
Red beans and rice didn't miss her
Some knucklehead tried to dis
'Cause his girls are on my list
He had game but he chose to hit 'em
And I pull up quick to get wit 'em
So ladies, if the butt is round,
And you want a triple X throw down,
Dial 1-900-MIXALOT
And kick them nasty thoughts
Baby got back!
(Little in the middle but she got much back) [4x]

Why & what is Newsbies?
The media were terrified of this new fangle thing and they did everything they could to stop it, even though 99.99999% of people were using it for information, keeping in contact, sharing pictures (yes you could do that before flickr, facebook, myspace etc.) or if they had fast enough conections sharing videos and spending far too much time in 3D gaming lands (somethings never change!).
Now though media has changed and the internet drives the media, every news show seems to have a "the latest phenomenon on youtube" or "the latest internet sensation", they're now getting a lot of their news straight from the internet and that's what newsbie's about trying to show you those crazy internet sensations and maybe show a few before they go 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 views and get reported on ABC, BBC, CNN, Five, ITV, MSNBC, Four, Rude Tube and all those other shows that hated the internet only 10 years ago!
